If the mountains are also a lifestyle, Cortina—on the road to the Winter Games—seems ready to say it loud and clear: hospitality, design, food, wellness, and music now weave into a single, compelling narrative aimed at a sporty yet glamour crowd looking for seasonal escape and high-altitude experiences. In this trajectory, the Olympics could become for Cortina what they were for Turin: a true accelerator of transformation and international positioning—within an aesthetic that, whether we like it or not, is unmistakably pop, with a reimagined 1980s vibe and social media as its natural stage. On one side stands Ancora Cortina, restored and reinterpreted as a “home” open to the city; on the other, Super G Faloria Mountain Club, the format that reshaped après-ski in Italy and now brings an immersive entertainment vision to Faloria, where brands, line-ups, and views simply don’t need filters.
Ancora Cortina reopens: a historic icon reborn through Renzo Rosso’s vision — Cortina d’Ampezzo, July 2025: after a careful restoration and reinterpretation, Ancora Cortina reopened in June 2025, returning as a focal point of city life on Corso Italia. Founded in 1826 and long a symbol of Ampezzo hospitality, it now comes back to life under the vision of Renzo Rosso (OTB), conceived not as a “conventional” hotel but as a warm, surprising contemporary home—one that generates encounters, culture, and beauty in constant dialogue with landscape and history. Looking toward the international momentum of the 2026 Winter Games, Ancora positions itself as a living, cross-disciplinary hub: 38 unique rooms across seven categories; natural materials like wood and stone; warm tones; and a deeply personal interior language by Charles & Co, led by Vicky Charles (former Soho House design director), celebrating the original identity without nostalgia. The experience is completed by a seasonal, local-producer-driven culinary offering, an all-day bar, the Corso Italia terrace as an open-air living room, a 200+ sqm spa with cryotherapy and relaxation areas, a gym and yoga space—and, at night, the Brave Club, a discreet, rebellious soul where music sets the pace and exclusivity is about presence, not selfies.
Super G Faloria Mountain Club: the new panoramic après-ski suspended over the Dolomites — For Cortina’s 2025/2026 season, Super G Faloria Mountain Club makes its debut: a panoramic après-ski concept perched on the Dolomites, blending music, lifestyle, and contemporary mountain culture, and bringing to Faloria the Super G format already established from Courmayeur to Cervinia and Madonna di Campiglio. The opening is deliberately high-energy: the 6–8 December weekend kicks off with Mazay and Il Pagante, who on 7 December will also present “Milano Cortina” (feat. Ludwig). From December through April, the club builds an immersive program of performances, visuals, and collaborations with major lifestyle brands, with special moments across key holiday dates (Immacolata, Christmas, New Year’s, Carnival) and throughout the 2026 Olympics and Paralympics. Alongside resident DJs, a national line-up (including Il Pagante, Mazay, Call Me Aura, Ludwig, Leo Gira, Tommy Vee, Rudeejay, Merk&Kremont, Salmo, and others) fuels a vision of high-altitude entertainment that’s more contemporary and more glamorous—while staying rooted in alpine identity and Faloria’s spectacular setting. Founded in 2013 by Andrea Baccuini and Giacomo Sonzini, Super G has evolved into a full ecosystem—cuisine, music, design, conviviality—with a manifesto that says it all: “Happiness lives here.” In Cortina, it lands at a singular moment when hospitality becomes not just service, but experience culture.
Completing this “new Cortina” triptych is the most restorative dimension of the stay: at HOTEL de LEN, wellness becomes a panoramic ritual in a top-floor spa framed by a vast window over the valley. Here, treatments pair expert touch with essential oils and botanical extracts sourced sustainably from hand-harvested alpine officinal plants; the path moves through shifting temperatures and sensations—steam baths, an ice fountain, emotional showers, an outdoor whirlpool, and a Finnish sauna with views of Faloria and Cortina’s bell tower. Signature experiences include Spa by Night (a private evening with a local-flavours aperitivo), the “five senses” version with a dedicated dinner and couples massage, and dawn Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga sessions on the rooftop: an invitation to regain rhythm, energy, and harmony—while the Dolomites keep doing what they do best, reminding us that here, beauty is part of the air.
